3D Tourbillon build complete.

Skipping a lot of steps and tests, I’ll put just a few more videos and such before arriving at the run of the finished clock.

Here’s a time lapse of the lower base being assembled.

What’s happening here is what the model designer calls a “Gear Mesh Test”. Do the gears mesh properly and without too much friction? This is the anti-kickback portion of the main spring winding mechanism.

The two big blue wheels are what wind the main springs. The steel strip goes into a slot in those blue wheels center posts.

This shows why the Gear Mesh Tests are needed.
