Had a surprise today! Tax day wasn’t completely awful, a Cecropia Moth stopped by. These are North America’s largest moths.

He was just sitting on the stone wall outside our front door. His left antenna is edge on to us, but you can really see the right one. He can’t have been out of the cocoon for very long at all, his wings are in perfect shape, with no tears or ragged edges at all.
