Well, this shoot didn’t work out as well as we’d hoped. The clouds never cleared! This has been happening for three or so days now. We get a bit of blue sky in the morning and then we’re in the clouds the rest of the day.

The upper movie has a native resolution of 480 p. That’s been stretched to about 1,300 pixels, but the uprezing is done locally by your cpu or video card so it runs fast. There’s only about 12 megabytes of data in the movie. On the other hand, the bottom movie was rendered at 1080 p and there are 186 megabytes of data in that one.

This is the 480 p version for low bandwidth.

Martin started the shoot at 8:06 AM and let it run till 11:28 AM, hoping the clouds would clear. They didn’t they just rose a little bit above us. Since it was so long, it was rendered at 30 frames a second, for a speedup of 10 seconds/frame into 1/30 seconds/frame of 300 times.

This is the 1080 p version for high bandwidth.
