    New fire, Stone Canyon Fire, just started up a little while ago south of us.

    This one’s closer at 3.5 miles away. Still no real problem, its just brush down there, not forest.

    That doesn’t prevent them from putting us into a “mandatory” evacuation area. They can’t actually make you leave, so we aren’t planning on leaving at this time, since there isn’t any reason to.

    As you can see, only the far hill has any trees, the near one is just a few trees and grass, so once again, we’re fne!

This is from the rooftop camera starting at 19:37:21 and running for a couple of minutes. The rooftop camera has got a zoom lens on it and it was zoomed to about 18X. Without help, you could barely see the flames. There are two deep valleys between us and the fire. Both valley bottoms are just grass, no trees. So, still no problems.
