Prime rib and Hummers! Finally it was time to do prime rib. We rubbed it with rosemary, garlic, olive oil and salt and covered it in plastic rap. Its been marinating since yesterday morning, or about 24 hours.
Right at the very start at 8:08 AM, this is going to be Sunday Brunch. This is before we even had smoke going.
Here it is, mounted on the spit and ready to go out.
It’s now 8:13 AM, still fiddling with the burner settings to get the heat to stay at about 300 °F. The hummers aren’t really bothered by us.
Most of the other movies here are 480p, this one is full 1080p because Martin got some truly amazing close up of some hummingbirds.
It’s now 8:17 AM, and we’ve got smoke!
At 8:23 AM, the hummer rush continues!
Finally, at 8:40 AM, the temp and smoke are stable enough for Martin to leave the grill for a while.
At 10:33 AM, brunch is now underway. Bill toasted the bruschetta on the right after bringing the roast it. While he did that, Martin did the salad and got out the Minor’s Au Just base.
