Its been more than a month since the last hummingbird update and we’ve got a lot of birds coming up now. Over 250 it looks like.

The problem with the calculation is that we take out multiple feeders at a time and therefor have a very coarse measurement. The number of hummers does seem to be pretty variable as well.

The more aggressive males seem to frequent the tubes a bit more, but hummers move so fast it’s hard to be sure…

It is difficult to really get a feel for just how intense things can get unless you are out there among them. They really don’t care much about people wandering around.
