A Perfect Sea of Clouds. Why “Perfect”? We never got into the clouds for very long at all, so there aren’t any long boring stretches this time. The weather has been pretty strange for a few days. We were completely in the clouds almost all day on Sunday, but today everything was just right.

Here’s yesterday at 7:18 AM. Before Martin could even get the iPhone on the tripod, we were in the clouds! This panorama was shot by Bill and it goes from the Northeast on the left to the Southeast on the right.

Here’s today, from 6:13 AM to 7:49 AM. This time the cloud tops were lower and hence didn’t just wash over us. 

The shoot was done at 1 frame every 10 seconds and rendered at 15 frames per second for a 150 X speedup. This is the 1080p version.
