The door to the lazy susan cabinet had come loose. Martin took a quick look and a screw was completely loose. No problem, he tightened it up and . . . What the heck?? The door now wouldn’t close?? What is going on? These hinge mechanisms are complicated!.
Time to do some research.
Step one - who makes our cabinet door hardware. Turns out that it’s a German Manufacturer - blum. Well, Tharp does use top end hardware.
The hinges are from their BLUMOTION line. Oh, my! Those screws do not get tightened up. As long as they are engaged at all, everything is good and solid.
That is some amazing engineering. Full adjustment in 3 dimensions. No wonder Martin was confused.
