This is about as thick as the clouds can get!
A still photo simply cannot capture what this feels like, and even the movie doesn’t quite capture how eerie this feels…
We can get an actual measure of how thick the clouds are. Look at the bottom right panel, SOLAR is at only 9.53 watts per square meter. At 8:18 in the morning on a sunny day, that would be about 40 watts per square meter at this time of year. The clouds are blocking about 75% of the solar energy.
