    Bananas Foster! We first ran across the original Brennan’s recipe on the television series Great Chefs of New Orleans II and we bought the book that accompanied it. The mise en place, the rum has been measured out and it’s in the glass measuring cup. This is it, 5 ingredients for the sauce. From left to right, rum, light brown sugar, cinnamon, banana liqueur, and butter. 

Now for the exciting part, the flambé! The normally easily panicable parrot somehow isn’t panicked.

The finished dish. The brown sugar makes the bananas look burned, but they’re not 😉!
