Martin didn’t try to do a time lapse because when the clouds are this heavy, the spectacular part of the sunrise only lasts a few minutes. These were shot a few seconds apart at 6:48 AM. By 6:55, the sun was behind the upper cloud deck and the rest of the day was just dark and dreary.
Those few minutes were spectacular! This was shot with the iPhone’s main camera at the equivalent of a 28 mm lens.
This was shot with the iPhone’s telephoto zoomed to 101 mm.
Finally, zoomed into beyond to the limits of the iPhone 15 telephoto optical zoom at 240 mm. Pixels start to become visible when you use this much digital zoom.
