Here’s what the very light snow with almost no wind left. There was just enough snow to thinly coat everything, not enough to blur things out.
Did I shoot this in black and white? Nope, if you look closely, you can see that the power pole is brown, and you can see the orange sticker on the transformer. Every pine needle is coated in snow, that is why you can’t see any green. These photos just give a hint of just how weird this looked.
Yes, you are really seeing a wire mesh fence, with about 2” X 5” spaces completely filled by snow. Notice at the bottom, each tiny twig is distinct and coated in snow.
This is shot from the mailboxes. For some reason, when you are listening to a podcast, the microphone is turned off, even when the podcast is stopped, so this is silent.
Again, silent. Shot coming back home from lunch in town. It really didn’t need any commentary anyway. It’s simply unbelievable.
This was shot the next morning, February 19, 2025, and it is 3.3 degrees below zero! Nothing had changed from yesterday at these temperatures.
