April 26, 2026 In the Clouds with Hummers

We were actually right at Dew Point this morning, which means the clouds are about as thick as they can be. The hummer’s don’t care, they come up anyway!

Martin shot this from inside to avoid bothering the hummers and because it was cold out this morning!

Here’s a full 360° pan to really show just how thick it was.

That’s got to be ice fog at this temperature. We were pretty much at dew point for most of the morning. Yepj, 100% relative humidity.

The first hummer report of the season. We set out the first feeder on 3/23/2026 and wham, the hummers found it! Now we’re already feeding almost 100 birds. By that we mean that if the hummers were only feeding from our feeders there would have to be almost a hundred of them to consume the amount of sugar we’re putting out.
