April 8, 2026 An unusual sunrise, clouds all the way to the eastern horizon, yet still great color! We put the hummingbird feeders out a few weeks ago, for the few brave hummers that come up early and managed to catch one, very briefly this morning in the 1st movie.

Not only is this a really nice sunrise, you can see the smoke plume of the fire and very briefly a hummer on the eastern window feeder. This was shot at 6:21 AM.

This was shot at 7:45 AM and the high winds, 15 - 30 mph, haven’t helped a bit. It looks pretty much like it did over an hour ago. It wasn’t till about 9:30 AM that the fire fighters were able to get it out.
