January 26, 2026
That was quite a cold spell! We went below freezing at 8:00 AM, Thursday January 22, 2026 and stayed there until 11:30, Monday January 26, 2026. 4 days without a high! Heh, remember we’ve got standards up here. If water won’t melt we don’t have an actual high, just an upper low.
Above is the old Wunderground graph. It’s not very flexible, so I had to use the month view.
Here’s the preview of the what the new Wunderground graph will be. Only personal weather station owners and subscribers can see the preview.. Now you can just set your start and end dates to get exactly the period of interest. Much nicer!
The weather station’s own graph.
This is from the (as yet undocumented here) X-410 Elevator shaft HVAC controller. There is a temperature sensor at the top and bottom of the elevator shaft. Currently, if the lower sensor goes below 55 °F, the X-410 turns on the 4kW shaft heater and holds it on until the lower sensor hits 75 °F and you can see it has to work a little at these temperatures!
