Monday, July 13, 2026 Western Swallowtail on White Coneflower

    Martin just happened to be looking at someone on a small ATV going by on the road when he noticed the the Western Swallowtail  on the White Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea PowWow White)!

Martin didn’t want to scare it off, so this was taken using the iPhone 17’s maximum optical zoom.

When approaching closer, it took off, but Martin was ready and got this shot.
