June 13, 2026 Hummer update and Hairy Woodpecker

   This is actually covering 3 days. Martin decided to try for the evening hummer rush on June 11, after already putting the June 11 page up.

Here’s the Thursday, June 11 Evening hummer rush. You can see the reflection of the Apple Music visualizer. This is why we’ve got 13 walls and 2 tubes out.

On Friday, June 12, our old friend, the hairy woodpecker, dropped by. We last saw one on August 28, 2024.

Today’s numbers, we’re probably averaging 400 birds now. You get a big bump in the count when you bring out a lot of sugar and the only way to really fix that would be to keep track of each feeders bring out and bring in times and calcuate the birds for each feeder independently and add them all up. That sounds entirely too much like work!
