The prediction for our area was 1”-3”, we got about 5”. The forecasts missed just how intense parts of the storm were.

We looked out and, Wow! It was snowing hard! There’s about 2 inches on the end of the wall. This was shot at 7:53 AM.

This was shot about a hour later, at 8:09 AM. Ah, no, that 1st movie didn’t show it snowing hard. This is snowing hard! There’s now about 3 inches on the end of the wall.

This was shot at 9:07 AM, about an hour later. The intense snow had ended a bit before this. Martin went to the end of the wall and measured 4 1/2 inches, so it was snowing at about 2 inches per hour for a while.

We lost internet shortly after the snow got intense, but it was still out after the snow lightened up, so poor Bill slogged up to the internet antenna and tried to clear enough snow off so we’d have internet again.

It didn’t work, had to have Oscar from XBar7, our ISP, come out and take a look. We didn’t realize that you have to get these dishes really clean. The brush we had couldn’t get the ice off. Oscar just banged the ice off and voilà, internet again!
