May 13, 2026  Hummers Showing Off

    The sun was shining, the hummers were hungry, so Martin got some really good shots of hummer iridescence. 

Martin got the species wrong. That’s a Black Chin Hummingbird with the deep purple gorget. The Broad Tails have red gorgets. He says, it’s kind of exciting having the hummers right there and trying to film them!

Yep, we’re feeding right at 200 birds now.
