Saturday, October 10, 2026 Longmont Farmers Market for Tomatoes

We wanted to do a Gazpacho, but hadn’t had any luck with supermarket tomatoes. Time to go where we know they’ll be some good ones.

Rocky Mountain Fresh is the farm that grows its tomatoes like Honeyacre did. Small containers of earth that can be sterilized so no insecticides are needed, but they have the full flavor of regular dirt grown tomatoes. All in green houses, so they grow year round and the drought didn’t really affect them.

We pass by them on every trip into Longmont, so we can stop by whenever we want tomatoes and other really fresh greens and vegetables.

They are a large farm. They do all kinds of peppers, squashes, carrots, radishes and even ginger!

They do more varieties of tomatoe than we’d ever seen!

Here’s the tomatoes we grabbed, the Brandywine variety.
