Yep, it was Monday all right. All the ligtening, even with a third of an inch of rain, still left us a problem.

Here’s the fire, just about due west of us, maybe a couple of miles away, at 8:20 AM

Here it is an hour later at 9:21AM

One of the choppers at work. This one is custom modified for fire duty and has internal tanks. Shot starting at 9:43 AM

Martin climbed up onto the roof for this shot at 9:51 AM. The helicopter is on the way to the fire after filling up in Carter lake.

Another helicopter has joined in. This one is not a special fire fighter, so it is using a bucket. The buckets are open at the top and are loaded to the top, so a little water can be seen spilling out of the top at the very start.
