Thursday, August 27, 2026 Sloppy Joes Semma    

    We haven’t done this is a while, maybe not since March of 2024. We don’t make this until we notice that we’ve used up all of the last batch. We like to show the final packaging, so this page was done a couple of days after the Sloppy Joes were prepared.

The mise en place for a quadruple, 4 pounds of ground chuck, batch.

The very start of cooking, browning the chuck and then adding the onions. This was shot starting at 10:16 AM on August 22.

Once the beef is browned, everything else is added. This was shot starting at 10:23 AM. It takes a while to really get the beef to start browning, even on this Vulcan hot plate.
