7/15/2020 - The Soffit
The architect decided some time ago that just stuccoing the underside of the soffits wouldn’t result in the sophisticated modern look that was wanted. Some type of wood would do that, but in an exterior application at 6,500’ the UV and weather would chew up a normal wood really quickly. Thus a really neat, fully treated product from Thermory was chosen. Their Scots pine would give the desired appearance, although you certainly can’t tell that from their website!

A shot that Martin took of it installed over the front entrance. Now you know why architects always work from samples! You simply can’t get a feel for what a material looks like until you have one.
