Ken Ludwig’s comedy, “Moon Over Buffalo,” is being presented by Moon-light Stage Productions at the Avo Playhouse, 303 Main Street in downtown Vista, through March 22.
Performances are Thursdays through Satur-days at 7:30 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets for $18 to $26 are on sale at the VisTix Ticket Office, 600 Eucalyptus Ave. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at (760) 724-2110 or online at www.vistixonline.com.
“Moon Over Buffalo” is a backstage farce centered around the marriage of two competitive Amer-ican stage actors, making their living by performing the classics, like Shaw, Shakespeare and Noel Coward. George and Charlotte Hay learned to survive the television and movie madness of the 1950s and then learn they might have one last shot at movie fame, and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong, resulting in non-stop hilarity.
Playing George and Charlotte Hay are Nils Anderson of Irvine and Jill Drexler of San Diego. Anderson marks his 10th appearance in a Moonlight show, which include “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “The Will Rogers Follies.” Drexler last appeared at the Avo Playhouse in “You Never Can Tell.”
Other cast members include Gregory Hall of Oceanside, Theresa Layne of Carlsbad and Patricia Sullivan of Vista.
The 2008/09 Moonlight at the Avo Winter Season is produced by Moonlight Stage Productions and the City of Vista.
